As a trainee at Bellona, Maria focuses on bioeconomy and aquaculture, particularly in the context of EU policymaking. She is currently in her second year of a Bachelor's degree in Comparative Politics at the University of Bergen. Alongside her studies, she is also involved in the student organization YATA, a network for young people with an interest in foreign, defence, climate and security policy, where I serve on the board of the Bergen chapter. She looks forward to a valuable and educational semester in the heart of Europe, gaining deeper insights into how an NGO works in Brussels.
