Port of Vitino plans to increase oil reloading

Publish date: January 30, 2006

The port of Vitino in the White Sea plans to boost reloading of oil from 1.6 million tons in 2005 to 3.5 million tons in 2006.

The amount of oil, transported by railway to the port in 2005, sharply fell because of oil companies’ reorientation to pipelines, BarentsObserver reported. Due to increasing shipping of gas condensate from the Novatek company, the port managed to keep a high activity level.

The Fearnley’s company reports that the Vitino port in 2005 handled 141,700 tons of oil, 830,300 tons of gas condensate and 653,700 tons of petrol.
