Publish date: January 16, 2007

According to a Gazprom representative, the company plans to finish geological works on Shtokman, Prirazlomnoe and Dolginskoe fields by 2010.

Oil and gas fields in the Barents Sea, Yamal Peninsula and its shelf are to be very important for the company in the nearest future, RIA Novosti reports.

Gazprom is expected to produce 674 billion cubic meters of gas a year. The company must put in operation new oil and gas fields to achieve this goal. The Shtokman field and several fields in the western Siberia (including Yamal Peninsula and its shelf fields) are among them.
