Public hearings of Shtokman project in Karelia Republic

Public hearings, devoted to impact assessment of Shtokman gas condensate field on environment, to take place in seven districts of Karelia Republic from September, 7–5.

A part of a long-distance gas pipeline Vidiaevo-Volkhov (704 km), as well as several compressor stations and sites of infrastructure is planed to be build on a territory of Karelia Republic, B-port.com reports.

Gas, produced on Shtokman field, is to be transported into the country by projecting gas pipeline Vidiaevo-Volkhov. Total distance of the gas pipeline is 1356.5 km.
