The main focus of the Berlin team is industrial climate protection. Bellona’s primary objective is to rapidly achieve zero emissions and, when necessary, enable negative emissions—potentially exceeding the rigorous climate protection targets set by Europe and Germany.

In Germany, Bellona’s efforts primarily revolve around maximising the effective utilisation of renewable energies, pioneering hydrogen technologies, advocating circular economies, and establishing the capture and enduring geological storage of CO₂.
