ACE Events, Oudergemlaan 22, Brussels (Belgium)

On the occasion of Bellona Europa celebrating its 30th anniversary in Brussels, we are thrilled to host our first Bellona Climate Action Conference. This event will discuss strategies and solutions to accelerate industrial decarbonisation, focusing on the necessary steps at the policymaking level to achieve the EU’s climate objectives by 2030. With the EU’s climate targets for 2030 looming large, the EU’s next legislature must ensure that industrial policy developments align with Europe’s climate goals. This conference serves as a platform for constructive dialogue and collaboration, bringing together representatives from EU institutions, industries, civil society organisations, and trade unions.

The conference agenda encompasses a diverse array of panels aimed at comprehensively discussing the critical issue of industrial decarbonisation within a systematic framework, rather than in isolation. Throughout the event, participants will engage in discussions on transforming energy systems and building lead markets for low-carbon products, CO2 infrastructure as well as the economics of industrial decarbonisation looking at carbon pricing, while diving into Bellona’s Roadmap for 2024-2029. Together we will delve into concepts such as embodied carbon and explore how climate solutions like electrification, CCS or hydrogen can contribute to decarbonisation efforts.
