Green house gas emissions will decrease
At the G8 conference in the Northern German city of Heiligendamm, leaders of the world’s 8 largest industrialized nations, in an announcement on June 7th, agreed to decreases green house gas emissions in the atmosphere by 2050.
During an interview with journalists after a meeting with British Prime Minister Tony Blair, French President Nikolas Sarkozy announced that unexpected progress on climate change issues had been made. He emphasized that G8 leaders have approved a document that for the first time includes concrete figures of what is to be done.
